So you offer both a chargeable and non-chargeable email to
SMS service?
Yes. Our clients have different needs when sending text messages from within
their email system. Our non-chargeable service works with all email systems and
requires no additional software from us. Our optional Outlook plug-in is for
those clients that need a tight integration with Outlook, with complete access
to Outlook’s address books and diary functions.
Do we really only pay one fee for the optional software
and then just pay for messages?
Yes. There are no ongoing monthly rental fees for using either TextEmail
service. Buy the optional software once, or elect to use the non-chargeable
service, and then just send messages. Compare us with more expensive offerings
that you pay each month for the privilege of using the service.
With the non-chargeable service, do we really only pay
for messages that we send?
Yes, absolutely. There are no set-up fees, no monthly or annual charges, no
per-user fees, no usage minimums, no reply charges, and no support costs. You
just pay for the messages that you send.
How do we pay for the messages?
You can either purchase packs of messages in advance, or have a credit account
which we invoice you for monthly. Messages purchased in advance enjoy
preferential rates, and are purchased securely online with a credit or debit
card. Just tell us when you register which account type you would like to have.
Do I need to be technical to download and use the Outlook
software?
Absolutely not. TextEmail will, when you ask it to do so, download seamlessly
in to your Microsoft Outlook environment. The application itself has been
designed to be simple and easy to use. If you can send an email, you can use
TextEmail!
Can I send a message to more than one recipient?
Yes. You can send a message to any number of recipients simultaneously, without
having to type the message in each time. You can select your recipients for the
message from your address books and distribution lists within Microsoft
Outlook, or with the non-chargeable service, just type the numbers in, with our
domain name.
Do I have to login each time I wish to send a message?
No. When you send a message we check to ensure that you are authorised to send
text messages. If you are, then the messages are sent seamlessly from within
your email system.
Can the person I send a message to reply to my message?
Yes absolutely. This is one of the strengths of both TextEmail services. Any
message that you send can be replied to, with the reply coming back in to your
Inbox. With the Outlook software, you can elect to have the reply forwarded to
your mobile phone as well.
Can I evaluate your service with some free messages and
no commitment to continue?
Yes, absolutely. Please do open an evaluation account with us, and we’ll give
you 20 free messages to test our services. Your account will have full
functionality. Just let us know how you would like to proceed once your
evaluation has completed.
Is there a contract that commits me to staying with you?
Absolutely not. Opening an account with us doesn’t commit you to using our
services for any length of time at all. You can decide to stop using our
services at any time. We believe you should be free to come and go, and use our
services as you wish.
I need a reliable service. When was your system last
down?
Since we re-hosted on to managed platforms provided by Rackspace in March 2004,
we have not had a single system outage. We have invested significantly over the
past five years to provide a highly resilient business-grade, always-available
service to our 6,200+ clients.
I need my messages delivered swiftly and consistently.
How do you ensure this?
To start with, we only send our messages with UK operators. This ensures that
the highest grade of message quality available is used to underpin our
services. Also, we don’t rely on just one network partner to deliver your
messages. We have multiple connections to multiple partners.
How do I know if a message has been delivered?
We provide you with a delivery status for every message that is sent, enabling
you to see whether a message has been delivered, is in transit, or has failed.
Do you use our mobile phone numbers for marketing
purposes?
No we do not. We conform to the stringent regulations of the Data Protection
Act. Your user and contact details are confidential to you.
