The TextEmail non-chargeable service offers the following capabilities:
- Type a recipient’s phone number directly in to the “To” field
- Decide whether to send entire email or just one SMS’ worth
- Subject and email body fields are sent to the recipients
- Receive replies to your messages directly in to your “Inbox”
- Alternatively, send 11 characters with the SMS to identify you
- Receive delivery confirmations in to your “Inbox”
- Sent SMS text messages are stored in your “Sent Items” folder
- Restrict the length of your SMS, add $$ at the end of the email
- Your user email address is used for verification and security
- Schedule the delivery of future SMS messages
With the optional, chargeable TextEmail plug-in for Microsoft Outlook and
Outlook Express, the following capabilities are provided:
- “New SMS” button is provided on your Outlook
toolbar
- Type a recipient’s phone number directly in to the “To” field
- Select recipients directly from your address books
- Create your own Sender Id to send with your SMS
- Replies can be sent to your mobile, inbox or both
- Receive delivery confirmations in to your “Inbox”
- Turn on and off message delivery notifications
- Check the length of the message before you send it
- Send calendar appointment reminders by SMS
- Auto-remind meeting attendees by SMS
- Send an email to the recipient to backup your text message
- Schedule the delivery of future SMS messages
- Attachments sent via email are sent to the recipient as filenames
- All versions of Microsoft Outlook and Express are supported
